A split point drill bit has two additional edges ground into the chisel edge, which makes the entire point of the drill bit one long cutting edge. This reduces the amount of pressure needed to make the drill cut, making them ideal for drilling into hard or tough materials such as hard steel, etc. They come in 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5 and 8mm sizes. Conforms to DIN338 standards. Complete with a sturdy metal carry case for neat storage and transportation.
